Take me out to the ball game...

Chloe is a true St. Louisan at heart! Grandpa made sure her first major league game was a Cardinals game! We took the train downtown - which made it a plane, train and baseball game all in one day! According to Chloe at the baseball game, "The pitcher throws the ball, the guy hits it and runs real fast." Too true.

Like her mother, Chloe's favorite part was the food...and the loot - her first baseball cap!

Then we got ice cream after dinner... too exciting!

Nona took us to the circus...what a treat!

Chloe was clinging like-a-monkey-crying-terrified of the clowns....except "that one that gave me a sucker."

luckily we had Daddy to finish it off!

What a fun day out. We all had a great time!

Chloe's playlist

It's all patriotism and princesses in this house.

My Dad started doing his old army marches for Chloe as she would march around the living room.

"Chloe went home with her left, her right
Chloe went home with her left, her right
Sound off - one two
Sound off - three four
Chloe count
One two three four,
One two three-four!"

She became obsessed also with "A Merican Flag." It's an American flag because, "it has two white stars and two red stripes." And so Nona taught her "God Bless America" and the "National Anthem."

Obsession grew in St. Louis where Chloe only wanted to listen to a George M. Cohan album OVER AND OVER AND OVER.
Here she is marching to Cohan in Nonny & Grandpa's living room.

The playlist:
I walked with you once upon a dream
You're a Grand Old Flag
I'm a Yankee Doodle Dandy

Nona!

We had a great visit with Nona this spring. It was bitterly cold, but we managed to survive without being stuck inside too much. We went to Ann Arbor, the circus (more on that in another post), the Detroit History Museum and spent a lot of time down town. We love Nona!
