She's got the pox, I tell ya

Chloe was recently exposed to chicken pox.
I ran to Target as fast as my little legs could carry me to stock up on cotton balls, calamine, oatmeal bath, motrin and benedryl.... here's why.

She got 3 of these, which disappeared the next day. We are such suckers.

Snow Day

It recently warmed up a bit and so Chloe had her first day in the snow. She thought it was hilarious. But, of course, she didn't really smile for the camera.

BFFs

Isaac - or 'Ike' as Chloe calls him - has been a regular at our house 2 days a week... but we basically see him daily! We just love him! These two are the best of friends. Chloe calls for him while he's away and cries when he leaves.

Mostly they like to sit in Chloe's new wagon.... or be pulled around our 1000 sq. ft. mansion.

Dance.

Wave at the mail man.

Give each other rides in the mini wagon.

They're probably in love. I know I am with both of them!

An apple a day

We are very big on breakfast eating at our house. It IS the most important meal of the day after all. But while I find myself focusing so much on Chloe's "balanced" diet (if you consider balanced to mean made mostly of blueberries), I often forget to pump myself & Britton full of all the fruits and veggies we need.

Being a morning person, I once thought my days would always begin like this. I soon realized they instead have become less than elegant...with the outcome of this more and more often. Inspired by an awesome blog we are instituting a new breakfast routine in our home....the ever tast-ummy-licious breakfast shake. PLUS Chlo-ster can get double the fruits and veggies without ever having to enter her highchair!

A little business

Please enjoy some of the best coffee you've ever tasted - Nossa Familia - our family's coffee via Augusto our brother-in-law whose family has been growing this coffee for over 100 years in Brazil! The coffee has won many awards and they take real care of their environment, their beans and most importantly their employees on the farms, offering education, housing, health care and more. As if it couldn't get any better than that...they also support charities of your choosing (from a list) with every pound purchased!!! Consider giving it as a responsible gift this Christmas! Yum!

Nossa Familia's Cafe at Portland's Ethos Music Center - great coffee and tasty treats!

Here are some more photos from Oregon and around the house...

We had so much fun hiking around P Land!

Little Cousin Matthew is too cute!

We're excited about our first real tree!

These Little Buggers...

Have saved my life!

I've always been a fan of Happy Baby foods. They are inventive, delicious, nutritious and cheaper than other organic brands! While Chloe has noshed on their frozen line, dined on their delicious puffs...no other can beat the do-it-herself food-in-a-bag prevent-mom-from-leaving-the-store-to-feed-Chloe-lunch delicacy. She just sucks away and *voila!* meal done and I didn't even have to touch her!
