The good with the bad
A little tug on my heartstrings... much needed after the laptop events of yesterday -- Chloe, seeing a picture of the Pope as I perused the news, pointed, smiled sweetly and said "Papa" - this only shortly after saying "love ya Jesus" (in her own broken english) to the crucifix in her room.
Sneak
While I'm preparing dinner I sometimes let Chloe watch the Intro to 'The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh' over and over to keep her from 'helping' turn the stove knobs/climbing up my legs near open flame.
She usually sits quietly or dances, calls out the characters names as she sees them and comes into the kitchen to tell me she's seen Pooh or Owl. Real cute. I can even see her from the corner of my eye. She also KNOWS not to touch the laptop that she watches the Youtube clip from.
However, yesterday was another story. I walk up to find the little darling PEELING the keys off of the laptop. It's time to up the ante on baby proofing.

A winter walk.
So last weekend it was a balmy 35 degrees... which means, of course, that the whole town was out and about. We haven't been on a walk outside in months so we decided to pack up Chloe in her wagon and walk to a quaint little downtown area only a few blocks from our house to have lunch.

It was her first real ride in the wagon and she loved every second of it.
To make the trip even more amazing for her, she saw a dog AND she got to keep her cup & straw from the restaurant for the ride home.... note the milk mustache & look of concentration.

She would not let go of that thing for a second... except, of course, to practice putting it in her cup holder and taking it out in between sips.
Even when she got out to walk she wouldn't let go of that thing - except when she decided it was time to run.

What a lovely day!

Febru-yawn-ary
It's a dreary month. We're tired of being inside. And we're really getting bored.
But we signed up for some swim classes to break the monotony -- Chloe is psyched.
She really likes playing some sweet tunes these days. She really gets down.

And she loves telling everyone how old she is.......over and over and over again....

...until she finally gets distracted.

Come with me to a time in the not so distance past....
Chloe, coming fresh out of her evening bath, was being a particularly cheeky ham, dancing around the living room in the buff to the jangles of her music table. Being brought almost to tears by the beauty of the moment, I grabbed the camera next to me and flipped it to video mode. In the 4 seconds I spent focused on turning the camera on, she must have pooped. After a few moments of filming her cute nude dance, she paused, pointed at the ground, and picked up, what, through the diminished view of camera's finder, appeared to be a small toy... but no... it was her own poop. She dance-ground a large turd into our carpet and picked up another in her tiny little baby hand. I'm still trying to figure out the logistics of all of this... good thing I have it all on video to a)prove that the 'movement' did not actually occur under my ever so watchful gaze.... and to b)show to her future husband at just the right moment.

History of De-twah.
We took a little trip to the Detroit Museum of History this weekend.
The history of Better Made.... best chips evvvveerrrr.

A sweet little pioneer garden. Sometimes I forget how tiny she is!

A "but".

Riding in... and turning the crank of an old time Ford.

Workin' 9 to 5 on the car line.

A tour on the old streets of Detroit.

....where Chloe fell madly in love with a horse.

All tuckered out.
