Our new floor sweeper

Note some of Chloe's favorite words "hep" (help), "dis" (this) and "mo" (more) she also puts her hands or fingers together to mean "more please"!

Spring is near

All week we've been teased with thoughts of Spring!
It's getting increasingly harder for me to get Chloe in the stroller for a long walk. She prefers pushing her baby doll up and down the block we live on... not much activity for me, but it wears her out!

Short sleeves, even when inside, are a big treat!

I realize that I'm virtually never in photos anymore so I set our camera's timer for this shot...it was too bright out to get a decent image.

The good with the bad

A little tug on my heartstrings... much needed after the laptop events of yesterday -- Chloe, seeing a picture of the Pope as I perused the news, pointed, smiled sweetly and said "Papa" - this only shortly after saying "love ya Jesus" (in her own broken english) to the crucifix in her room.

Sneak

While I'm preparing dinner I sometimes let Chloe watch the Intro to 'The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh' over and over to keep her from 'helping' turn the stove knobs/climbing up my legs near open flame.

She usually sits quietly or dances, calls out the characters names as she sees them and comes into the kitchen to tell me she's seen Pooh or Owl. Real cute. I can even see her from the corner of my eye. She also KNOWS not to touch the laptop that she watches the Youtube clip from.

However, yesterday was another story. I walk up to find the little darling PEELING the keys off of the laptop. It's time to up the ante on baby proofing.

A winter walk.

So last weekend it was a balmy 35 degrees... which means, of course, that the whole town was out and about. We haven't been on a walk outside in months so we decided to pack up Chloe in her wagon and walk to a quaint little downtown area only a few blocks from our house to have lunch.

It was her first real ride in the wagon and she loved every second of it.
To make the trip even more amazing for her, she saw a dog AND she got to keep her cup & straw from the restaurant for the ride home.... note the milk mustache & look of concentration.

She would not let go of that thing for a second... except, of course, to practice putting it in her cup holder and taking it out in between sips.
Even when she got out to walk she wouldn't let go of that thing - except when she decided it was time to run.

What a lovely day!

Feedin' Time

Chloe is sort of a dominant woman.
Based on this recent activity, I think if she and Isaac were to go on a date, she'd pay.

Luckily, Isaac is a patient man. He lets Chloe get her kicks.

Febru-yawn-ary

It's a dreary month. We're tired of being inside. And we're really getting bored.

But we signed up for some swim classes to break the monotony -- Chloe is psyched.
She really likes playing some sweet tunes these days. She really gets down.

And she loves telling everyone how old she is.......over and over and over again....

...until she finally gets distracted.
