C'est la vie

Our camera died.
Sad days around here.
It's definitely taken a toll on our blog.
We are in the midst of some heavy debate about whether or not to get an awesomely huge camera or a copy of our previous beloved and cheaper little number. There will be no regrets.
Decisions will be made by this weekend and you can be sure the blog will be back in action too.

In other news:
Chloe started holding her pen the right way...and now draws faces. So darn cute.
We've been doing a lot of drawing around here lately!

The world through Chloe's eyes

As I have mentioned before, Chloe's playmobil toys are definitely her favorite! Here is her regular cast of characters and how she plays with them.

She got this one right on!

This dog is quite talented in the eyes of little Chlo - he is often seen going down the slide, singing "Frosty the Snowman" and even riding a horse!

Uncle Chuck is the funniest man alive according to Chloe. His character also flies a plane.

As in life, my character is basically there just to do whatever Chloe tells her to.

Daddy always sweeps in to save the day. And sometimes he is a pirate.

Isaac is the most popular character. He does EVERYTHING from lining up to go down the slide, to holding hands and dancing with the Chloe character. For reasons unbeknown to us, Isaac's character happens to be the antithesis of his real life uber-anglo self.

Becket is, well...the baby.

Adele's character is often seen pushing a stroller or sitting on a bench at the park next to a stroller.

A Jolly Happy Soul

There's been a lot of singing of "Frosty the Snowman" in our house this year. I don't think I'd ever realized just how many verses there are - but at one year old Chloe can sing them all by herself. THAT'S how obsessed she is.

Daddy took her out in the middle of snowstorm so she could finally get her magical snowman. Daddies are the best!

Preparing to place the "jishan's" (magician's) hat on "Fwosty's" head.

I think we have the only snowman who FACES our house instead of away from it....and who has a celery nose.

I stayed nice and warm inside and took terrible photos from the snow-covered front window.

Santa in Detroit

Santa showed up a little early in D-town this year.
He gobbled up his milk and cookies and left some serious goodies.

Chloe's reaction was priceless. She didn't see anything at first, except that the Christmas tree was in the wrong spot....then she saw her table and chairs with a tea set...then she FINALLY noticed the kitchen and whispered, "Ohhhh myyyyyy! A kiiiitttcheeeennnn!"

The time has come my little friends

Chloe is officially a big, big girl, thanks to a cousin who so generously gave us this beautiful bed. It's just exactly what I wanted for Coco!

I thought there would be a period of adjustment, but she took to her new digs immediately and has never looked back!

Can't wait to post an update on her room once we get some new artwork hung.

A Hooga Booga Christmas to you and you and you

One of Chloe's favorite moments EVER was going to the Hooga Booga Halloween show this October. She still talks about it daily. Luckily ol' Hooga and Booga made another appearance for a Christmas celebration.

Posing before the start of the show.

And here THEY are.
One has a 'Transylvanian' accent, the other sounds like Nathan Lane...go figure.

Chloe was so excited that Daddy got to join in this time.
Now he know's what the obession is allll about.

Chloe loved dancing and singing right along to all the Christmas carols. These days she can handle all of Frosty, Rudolph and Jingle Bells without accompaniment - a girl after my own Christmas heart.
