spring has sprung

Enjoy the extra chunky thighs... we do.

We've been trying to train chloe to smile by saying, "Show us your teeth."
This is what we get in return.

Dallas

In March Chloe and I visited friends and family in Dallas. It was a total blast... I miss it there!

We stayed with our loving friends and our handsome godson!

He and Chloe really loved one another... there were many kisses and hugs to be had through the week!

And we worked on brainwashing them to attend UD when they get older by taking them to Music on the Mall where they danced and danced.

Friends hosted a lovely brunch for us where we got to spend some quality time with Uncle Paul and Uncle Blake.

And we snuck in some Kindermusik and a petting zoo at the Arboretum.

An utterly LOVELY time.

I'm trying to figure out

When this

became this

and how quickly she is growing up

Our new floor sweeper

Note some of Chloe's favorite words "hep" (help), "dis" (this) and "mo" (more) she also puts her hands or fingers together to mean "more please"!

Spring is near

All week we've been teased with thoughts of Spring!
It's getting increasingly harder for me to get Chloe in the stroller for a long walk. She prefers pushing her baby doll up and down the block we live on... not much activity for me, but it wears her out!

Short sleeves, even when inside, are a big treat!

I realize that I'm virtually never in photos anymore so I set our camera's timer for this shot...it was too bright out to get a decent image.

The good with the bad

A little tug on my heartstrings... much needed after the laptop events of yesterday -- Chloe, seeing a picture of the Pope as I perused the news, pointed, smiled sweetly and said "Papa" - this only shortly after saying "love ya Jesus" (in her own broken english) to the crucifix in her room.

Sneak

While I'm preparing dinner I sometimes let Chloe watch the Intro to 'The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh' over and over to keep her from 'helping' turn the stove knobs/climbing up my legs near open flame.

She usually sits quietly or dances, calls out the characters names as she sees them and comes into the kitchen to tell me she's seen Pooh or Owl. Real cute. I can even see her from the corner of my eye. She also KNOWS not to touch the laptop that she watches the Youtube clip from.

However, yesterday was another story. I walk up to find the little darling PEELING the keys off of the laptop. It's time to up the ante on baby proofing.
